The results are in, and you’re a

DREAMER

You are still finding your way and you are not alone.

Building a business can be challenging, but it doesn’t have to be.

“You don’t have to know where you’re going to get there, but you do have to take action for movement to happen!”

— Dr. Linette Montae

So what is my next step?

You are motivated but need support with narrowing down your One Big Idea, knowing what to do next, and staying ultra-focused on the plan.

The CEO Dreamer faces three core hurdles:

Challenge #1: Trying to build on passion, experience, and skills.

Focus on laying a foundation strong enough to support your business structure. Passion Won’t Pay The Bills!

Challenge #2: Trying to build with limited money.

Focus on securing reliable money sources for ongoing business development. Sometimes a J-O-B is the funding source!

Challenge #3: Trying to do too much.

Focus on mastering the art of market acceptance and going after a one niche opportunity. Translation: Stop chasing bright shiny objects and buying easy buttons!

1.

GET CLEAR

Get clear on what and how your customers buy.

At this stage, you perform every task or have a few team members you supervise directly, and you do not have systems or processes to support your business activities.

Because this stage is highly volatile, your ability to be a flexible and nimble decision-maker is critical, or your business may die before it has a chance to bloom.

Release all attachments to a particular product or service and focus on market demand.

EXAMPLE: your restaurant specializes in dinner cuisines, but your traffic is higher at lunch time. The agile CEO Dreamer will pivot resources to serve a larger lunch time crowd.

2.

CREATE A PLAN

Create a realistic written business plan.

The CEO Dreamer’s journey often feels like one step ahead and two steps back but if you think your idea is feasible, you owe it to yourself to document your success roadmap.

And then Follow It!

Your business plan is designed to be a living document to objectively evaluate ideas, identify key target markets, set measurable milestones, analyze strategies, and explore new opportunities.

And it doesn’t have to be boring!

3.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Your biggest challenge is CLARITY.

Your biggest need is a PLAN.

As a CEO Dreamer, you must find customers and create the right products/services, or you may run out of capital and be forced to close.

FOCUS on answering these questions:

  • Does my business idea fill a gap in the market?
  • Who will buy my products/services?
  • Can I consistently reach potential customers and deliver my products/services?
  • How do I determine the best business model for me and my brand?

  • Do I have the financial resources to grow from Dreamer to Builder?
  • Is my business growth plan profitable?
